Dr. Jean Paul (JP) Amonte

Dr. Jean Paul (JP) grew up in Virginia Beach, VA where he graduated from First Colonial High School, then earned his bachelor’s at Wake Forest University in Psychology and Biochemistry. During his time in college, Dr. JP became fascinated with the mind-body connection and helped conduct memory research in cognitive psychology. It was there he became inspired by the holistic healing approach of Edgar Cayce. In 2004, he attended the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage and began working at the ARE Health Center under the training of Dr. Peter Schoeb. In 2005 he completed a Hypnotherapy certificate with Dr. Allen Chips and began integrating bodywork and hypnotherapy. In 2008, JP moved to San Jose, California where he attended Palmer College West and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic. While at Palmer, he was elected President of the Student Government, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was selected to participate in 2010 Clinic Abroad in Fiji. In 2018, he traveled to Tokyo, Japan and was featured in the Japanese documentary “The Readings.” Over the past 20 years, Dr. Amonte has been an educator and featured speaker on holistic, natural healing, presenting across the country and internationally. He presently hosts a weekly podcast “The Holistic Way with Dr. A”, publishes articles on holistic, natural health, and maintains an active clinical practice in Virginia Beach VA. Dr. JP enjoys spending time with his partner Leah and his son Calen. He loves being outdoors, swimming, biking, running, rock climbing, trampoline jumping, and has been a member of the Hot House Yoga community since 2006. Dr. Amonte actively competes in endurance races including marathons, triathlons, and Spartan races. In 2021, he completed the Hudson River swim with the Navy SEALs to fundraise for military veterans. In 2023, he became a Spartan gold medalist, winning his age group for the mid-atlantic region, and in September 2024, completed Ironman Maryland to fundraise for the local Autism foundation, FACT (Families of Autism Coming Together). His passion for helping others and supporting local communities is evident to everyone he meets. In January 2023, Dr. JP created the Holistic Research Academy, LLC for the Education and Application of Evidence-Based, Holistic, Natural Health and Healing Methods for the World. Emphasizing the Prevention of Dis-ease and the Importance of Keeping the Body, Mind and Spirit Balanced, Strong, and Healthy. Holistic Health addresses the Whole Person and that Healing is Accomplished when the Body, Mind, and Spirit are in Harmony.
