Detailed Daily Itinerary
Day 1 – Monday, July 26
Depart JFK Airport to Cairo on Egypt Air.
Day 2 – Tuesday, July 27
Arrive in Cairo at 6:05 AM and transfer to the Hyatt Regency Cairo West. Rest and enjoy the hotel amenities. Attend a welcome dinner at Mohammed’s House and a group meeting to set intentions for the journey.

Day 3 – Wednesday, July 28
Step back in time at the Giza Plateau. Marvel at the Great Pyramids, explore Queen’s Pyramids and Isis Temple, and stand before the Sphinx. Enjoy a camel ride, visit a family oil shop, and dine at the hotel.

Day 5 – Friday, July 30
Visit Sakkara’s Serapeum, Mere Ruka’s painted tomb, and Teti’s Pyramid. Tour a carpet factory, then fly to Luxor to board the Nofert & Nonia Dahabiya, your floating sanctuary for the days ahead.

Day 6 – Saturday, July 31

The moment finally arrives: witness the total solar eclipse over Luxor. At 11:40 AM, the partial phase begins; at 1:02 PM, totality brings 6 minutes 22 seconds of darkness, the corona, a temperature drop, and stars above Karnak’s pylons and obelisks. Explore the Hypostyle Hall, a fitting setting for a phenomenon once worshipped by Pharaohs.

Day 9 – Tuesday, August 3
Explore the charming town of Esna, including the Greco-Roman Temple of Khnum with its impressive Hypostyle Hall, Wakalt El-Gaddway, Al Amari Mosque, Bakkur Oil Press, and the traditional souk at Al-Qisariya Market. Set sail to Edfu in the evening.
