graphic designer/video producer
Status: Regular Full -Time
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Overview:
The Graphic Designer/Video Producer will create compelling, dynamic designs and video content that strengthen A.R.E.’s brand and contribute to its mission. He/she will collaborate closely with the director and other marketing/event team members. The Designer/Producer will be responsible for executing visual and video projects according to the brand standard guide and will create solutions for print, promotional, social media, and digital materials—ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in all deliverables.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Design materials for various projects, including social campaigns, events, and branding collateral.
- Conceptualize, film, and edit short-form and long-form videos for social media, digital marketing, events, promotional campaigns, and internal communication.
- Create video assets such as interviews, event highlights, testimonials, educational clips, and campus activity features.
- Focus on social media content to attract new audiences centered around happenings on campus and Mind/Body/Spirit topics.
- Apply and maintain A.R.E.’s brand style guide, ensuring alignment in logo usage, typography, illustrative elements, video graphics, and motion standards.
- Organize and utilize photography and video assets; assist in photo and video shoots as needed.
- Manage pre-production planning, filming, lighting, audio capture, and post-production editing.
- Maintain and organize video files, media libraries, and project archives.
- Follow production calendars and deadlines for assigned print, digital, and video projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- College degree in Graphic Design, Video Production, Visual Communication, or a related field
- 3 years of work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to be detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- College degree or experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Basic level of video editing is required
- Experience in WordPress is a plus
- Self-reliant; able to work independently and accept responsibility for projects
- Strong organization skills, able to switch tasks easily, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
- Highly professional and dependable
- Interest in mindfulness/spirituality is a plus
- An understanding of the key principles in the Edgar Cayce readings, particularly kindness, active patience, and a service orientation is desirable;
- Excellent communication skills — oral, written and listening– demonstrating cooperation, diplomacy, persistence, kindness, and clarity – is required.
- Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills required – to include continuous demonstration of courtesy, friendliness, patience, kindness, cooperation with service orientation.

- Demonstrated ability to keep confidential donor information and A.R.E. related information, including donor, member, customer and staff information required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for lengthy periods of time looking at computer screen; manual dexterity and coordination are required for more than 50 percent of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse and similar machines.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. occasionally (mailings)
- Ability move between buildings on uneven ground and to use staircases in historical buildings
