how to meditate
Instructions on how to meditate:
Anyone can learn to meditate. As with most things, meditation becomes easier with daily practice.
- Find a comfortable position.
Keep your spine straight, legs comfortable, and relax any tense muscles in your body. - Head-and-neck exercises
Gently roll your head forward, backward, to the right then left shoulders; finally rotate your head gently in a complete circle clockwise, then counterclockwise. Repeat twice. Never strain or force. - Deep breathing exercises
Fill your lungs from bottom to top, and exhale completely. Breathe in through your right nostril and out through your mouth; repeat three times. Breathe in through your left nostril and out through your right; repeat three times. - Include meditation aids, as desired.
Add music, incense, chants, inspirational reading, the prayer of protection, or others. - Focus on an affirmation.
Think about it, feel it, experience the affirmation. Return to it when your mind wanders. Allow at least 10-15 minutes for this step. - End by sending healing light.
Send light to people on your personal prayer list, your neighborhood, world leaders, other countries, and the universe.
