What Does It Truly Mean to Heal the Heart?

For many of us, “issues of the heart” are central to our capacity to undergo transformative change. This week will provide you with the chance to meet and heal your heart and experience its innate joy. Through the wisdom that Edgar Cayce offered to people who came to him with a wounded heart, you will experience the transformation that comes from self-acceptance and self-love, healing your own heart so that love and compassion can then pour out into the hearts of others.

Your capacity to contribute meaningfully to the world and help others on their journey begins with doing your own healing around these deeply personal matters of the heart.

Why Attend

Healing the heart most often involves dealing with loss. It may be the loss of a loved one who has passed, the end of a friendship or job, or a shift in your sense of identity or purpose. Many of us also carry the quiet ache of losing a part of ourselves, the wonder of childhood, the hope we once held, or the potential we imagined for our lives.

A wounded or broken heart is something we all face at some point, but it doesn’t have to define us. While we cannot always prevent heartbreak, we can choose how we move through it. A wounded heart does not need to become bitter or shut down. At its core, your heart is courageous. The word “courage” itself comes from the Latin word (‘cor”), meaning heart.

This retreat provides you with the space and tools to rediscover your strength.

What You’ll Experience

In alignment with the mission of the A.R.E.’s Tarsia Center, this retreat offers practical tools for emotional healing and a path forward that honors both your strength and your vulnerability.

With time and a clear ideal, a wounded heart can be the doorway to once again:

  • Trust and be open-hearted.
  • Express compassion for yourself and others.
  • Experience the strength and freedom that comes from honoring and fully expressing the range of human emotions from sadness to joy.
  • Understand the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and somatic intelligence in the transformative process of healing the heart.

Through this program, you will connect with the innate healing power of your heart using:

  • Guided imagery
  • Meditative reveries
  • Somatic healing practices
  • Movement and music

Throughout, you will deepen your connection to your inner wisdom and guidance, promoting healing at all levels of your being.

What Will You Walk Away With?

By the end of the week, you’ll leave with more than just insight. You’ll carry a renewed sense of clarity, compassion, and strength.

You will return home with:

  • Tools for emotional resilience
  • A stronger connection to your inner self
  • A more compassionate understanding of your own heart
  • A foundation for continuing your personal healing journey

Come with courage. Leave with clarity. Return to your life with a heart ready to lead.
