a Western Caribbean Cruise

with Charles Thomas & Leslie Cayce
April 5-12, 2009

The cradle of Mayan civilization, say the Edgar Cayce readings, lies in the ancient days of Atlantis. Map of Gulf of MexicoCOME AWAY WITH US, and experience the magic and mystery of ancient Mayan sites nestled in the heart of today's Caribbean tropics. Treat yourself to an adventure while exploring the enthralling culture and land of the Mayan people. This amazing journey begins in New Orleans, Louisiana, aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Spirit. From port of embarkation, the Norwegian Spirit sets sail for the beautiful sparkling turquoise waters of the Western Caribbean and the lands of the Maya. During time at sea, participants of this voyage will not only be relaxing upon a state-of-the-art ship, but also engaging in workshops and talks on Atlantis, Mayan civilization, and the Edgar Cayce Readings, given by non other than Charles Thomas and Leslie Cayce.

Along the route of this luxury cruise, the first port of call will be Costa Maya, Mexico. A former Mexican Navy outpost that features beautiful endless stretches of white sand and blue-green waters, it offers an exciting opportunity, among others, to discover the newly excavated Chacchoben Mayan ruins- once celebrated within the Mayan world- or a chance to simply bask under the Mayan sun, enjoy sea kayaks, or stroll along coastal trails. After sailing through the night, the ship will arrive early the next morning in Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the remains of Copan, once the most artistic city of the Mayan world, or the great stone temples of Tikal in the Petén Jungle**. Following this illuminating excursion, participants will then set sail back north toward Belize City, Belize, for the cruise's third stop. Take advantage of this full day in the capital of the smallest country in Central America, where cruise passengers will have the opportunity to travel to the ancient site of Altun Ham, famous for its nine-and-a-half pound jade head of the sun god Kinich Ahau, and climb to the top of three of the main temples... or simply lounge on the inviting beaches of this country's capital, snorkel in transparent waters, or just sit back and enjoy the local punch! From here, participants will continue cruising and engage in additional talks and meditations with their tour leaders on the way to Cozumel, Mexico, which will be the last stop before returning to New Orleans. Cozumel, an island sacred to Ix Chel (the Maya moon goddess), offers the group a chance to spend the day in Tulúm**, an ancient Mayan city perched above clear Caribbean waters. This highlight will conclude the wonderful journey as the group sails across the Gulf of Mexico back to New Orleans, Louisiana.
