Refund policy and procedure

For Conferences
If you need to withdraw from a Virginia Beach conferences or an A.R.E.-sponsored field conference, you will receive a refund based on the policies stated in the conference catalog or brochure. Call the A.R.E. Conference Registrar at 1-800-333-4499 to process your withdrawal and refund.

For Internet and Distance Learning Courses
If you need to withdraw from an Internet or distance learning course or if the Institute needs to administratively withdraw you from a course, you will receive a refund based on the following:

1) If you cancel within 10 business days and have received no services from a mentor, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. To qualify for a full refund, an individual must cancel in writing via fax or regular mail and return all materials included in the tuition fee
You may keep extra books and tapes you have purchased separately for the course.

2) If you cancel a course of study after the Institute begins providing educational services, you will receive a refund based on the amount of course work completed and services provided.
(a) If between 2% - 25% of the work and/or mentor's allotted time have been used, a student will receive a 75% refund.
(b) If between 26% - 50% of the work and/or mentor's allotted time have been used, a student will receive a 50% refund.
(c) If 51% or more of the work has been done and/or that much of the mentor's allotted time has been used, there will be no refund.

Method of Refund
If you have paid by check or cash, you will receive a refund check from the A.R.E. These checks take approximately three weeks to process and mail.
If you have paid by credit card, you will be credited electronically to that same account.
