COMTA Accreditation
The Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy was the first massage/bodywork training school in Virginia with a COMTA-accredited program. As a nonprofit, independent body, COMTA's mission is to maintain and improve quality assurance in massage therapy and bodywork education by recognizing post-secondary schools and programs through an accreditation process. Schools and programs achieve this recognition by continually demonstrating their compliance with a commitment to standards developed and monitored by the commission. This process assures that students receive quality education and training; therefore, the industry receives competently trained practitioners and the public receives quality services. www.comta.org/
AMTA Council of Schools
The AMTA Council of Schools was founded in 1982 as a forum for massage therapy
school owners, administrators, and faculty to explore common interests, make
new contacts and friends in the field, gather information from the experience
of others, and actively participate in the growth and development of the profession
of massage therapy. The stated mission of the AMTA Council of Schools is to
promote excellence in education in order to advance the art, science, and practice
of massage therapy and to enhance the quality and effectiveness of its member
schools. www.massagetherapy.org
