with Dr. Peter Schoeb and David McMillin
Asilomar Conference Gounds, Monterey Peninsula, California
July 14-17, 2011
The A.R.E. Asilomar Retreat, now in its 54th year, allows people from all walks of life to gather in an open, nonjudgmental environment to explore spirituality, different world philosophies, and principles contained in the Edgar Cayce readings. This retreat will feature a special program featuring two pioneering Cayce-based health professionals with over sixty years of combined experience working with the Cayce readings: Dr. Peter Schoeb and David McMillin; together they will bring a “Cayce tool box” for integrating spirit, mind, and body to help attendees create and live a holistic lifestyle, reduce stress, and increase energy and vitality.
This summer’s program, Body-Mind-Spirit Wholeness: Healing Soul and Self the Cayce Way, will be held July 14-17 at the beautiful seaside retreat at Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, Calif. Asilomar, which means “refuge by the sea,” is full of rustic charm and simple elegance, where you can take a deep breath and settle in for a time of serene relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation. The breathtakingly gorgeous 107 acres of ecologically diverse beachfront land are situated within the quaint and scenic town of Pacific Grove. Asilomar offers guests the simple comforts of cozy cottages and rustic lodges—and an unforgettable escape from the demands of everyday life, where you can relax, recharge, and renew.
Daily exercise and meditation times, workshops and sharing groups, and free time for enjoying the stunning Pacific coast setting round out a rich weekend of summer family camp memories that you will write home about—and cherish forever.
All youth will be housed with their parents and be their responsibility until after breakfast each day. Parents of all youth will have opportunities to join with them in specially planned activities. Campers will also have special group time with our speakers as well as enjoy a host of other workshops that teach them how to access their inner guidance to face the challenges that we each deal with in the 21st century. Some of those workshops may include meditation, interpreting dreams, and mapping your ideals.
Counselor-in-Training Option: Young adults, 18-24, who would like to be part of the youth day camp program by assisting counselors with group activities can apply to be CITs this year. Add your enthusiasm, creativity, and experience with the Cayce material to this year’s youth program. To apply for a CIT position, contact CampDirector@caycegoldengate.org for an application. CITs will be responsible for the cost of their room and board, but will have half of their tuition waived.
New to this year’s retreat is an opportunity for our attendees to share their amazing gifts by volunteering to do free workshops. Ideas for workshops include dreams, dowsing, Reiki, hypnotherapy, nutrition, yoga on the beach, and more. Leaders/facilitators, please keep in mind that these workshops are freely offered and are not intended to make a profit. You will be allowed to have business cards and brochures available during your workshop for your attendees. Inside space is limited. Sign-up sheets will be at the registration table; those with the most sign-ups will be assigned a space.

These small groups get together to discuss what the speakers have presented, giving everyone a chance to process the information presented at greater depth, sharing ideas and questions, and giving one another a deeper understanding of the topics. There will be opportunities for laughter and friendship as you share your understanding of and insights into the program in a supportive, loving environment. Sign-up sheets will be at the registration table.
