There is a $15 Facility Fee, charged by the school, for each workshop.

To reduce the chances of cancelling classes, it is strongly encouraged that you register with a deposit prior to 3 weeks before the start of class. These classes are held based on number of participants registered at that point, especially if the instructor is not local! Please help us in ensuring that the classes you want to attend actually happen. Register early and register often!


In an effort to maintain a “green” environment, the Cayce/Reilly School sends all invoices, receipts and class materials via email in PDF format. Students have the option to transfer the notes to an IPad, tablet, reader or laptop or print their own class notes. If a student requests the school make copies for them, for whatever reason, an additional $10 charge will apply.

  • be instructed on proper body mechanics and proper draping
  • practice the basic massage strokes
  • learn and practice the Cayce/Reilly full-body massage routine, by both giving and receiving massage.

This 2 1/2 day weekend workshop is the basis of our training program in Geriatric Massage. It offers 18 CE hours for massage therapists and qualifies for the Level 1 Certificate in Geriatric Massage. By helping participants to gain insight into meaningful work with the elderly, the therapist who likes to work with seniors is put on the path to a massage career that is emotionally satisfying without being physically draining.

Topics include: marketing to senior facilities, referral sources and active seniors in the community. Geriatric massage increases circulation, stimulates the nervous system, relaxes the mind and softens hardened muscle and connective tissues by increasing the blood supply to affected areas.

This workshop focuses on how to work with people in pain. If you change your structure you change your life. Learn how to look at the body as a whole and how to shift the structure of the body to alleviate pain. You will also learn how to make an assessment, gait analysis, and how you work with that to change structure. Focus on working with neck pain and lower back pain, working the front of the body to affect the back of the body as well as working on the back of the body. There is a strong focus on trigger point work. Basic principles of specific injury situations are covered emphasizing the role of the massage therapist.

Movement is the method of healing. Stretching is moving. Massage is moving. All creatures stretch instinctively. By blending exercise with stretching we optimize health. S.E.E.M.'s theory of blending exercise, stretching and massage for optimum health.

In this class you will learn:

  • Upper Body Protocols including the "Magic 7" neck stretches
  • Effective stretching methods - range of motion of the shoulders and neck
  • How to "Whisper To The Body"
  • Lower Body Protocols - all the major muscle groups of the body will be addressed
  • "Closing In" on the muscle groups to restore balance and function.

Individual attention will be given to each student and several students will have the opportunity to receive work for the purposes of instruction. Several sports/life injuries will be addressed.

In this workshop you will learn to identify, manipulate, and release myofascial tissue that holds chronic, painful, and exhausting stress and tension. In addition, you will gain an understanding of the relationship between posture and emotional attitudes and how constricted myofascial tissue leads to creating and reinforcing emotional negativity. By the end of the workshop you will know how to release this unwanted stress in the chest, neck, shoulders, hands, back and waist, in other words, over the whole upper body. The hand, neck, and shoulder work is suitable for on-site application as well as clinical practice. We will discuss the conditions and occupations that will benefit most from this work. Contra-indications will also be noted.

During the Basic experiential workshop, participants are introduced to core shamanism, the universal, near-universal, and common methods of the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods used by humankind to explore the hidden universe otherwise known mainly through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature.

WHAT TO BRING. Please bring a rattle or a drum if you have one. Wear comfortable clothing, warm socks, and bring a bandanna, cushion and/or blanket (if the sponsor does not provide cushions), a rough-surfaced rock approximately the size of a grapefruit (NOT a crystal), and a pen and notebook to record your journeys. In the Colon Hydrotherapy Experiential class, the participant receives one colonic from another student, observes 15 and gives seven supervised colonics, has 11 theory classes, independent library study and a written exam on material learned during the week.

While this is true, they are unaware that their feet, legs, and pelvis are also chronically tense. Myofascial constrictions in the lower body is just as enervating as it is elsewhere in the body and it distorts the way people stand, walk, and move. In this workshop, you will receive a hands-on review of all the strokes you learned in the Myofascial Release Massage, Part I, Upper Body. It will build on, and integrate, what you learned in Upper Body, so that you will be able to offer your clients a complete head-to-toe Myofascial Release Massage. This workshop provides an introduction to the TendinoMuscular Meridians which run through the fascia and nourish the skeletal muscles. They are particularly useful for healing structural problems and injuries and for addressing conditions of stagnant Qi and Blood in the superficial tissues. In Chinese Medicine fibromyalgia and cellulite are conditions of stagnant Qi, which leads to stagnant Blood (poor circulation) and pain. We will explore acupressure and Shiatsu techniques for these conditions that can be incorporated into sessions and also given to clients for self-treatment. There are no pre-requisites for this course. Both participants inexperienced in meridian therapy and those who already have experience will benefit.

Prerequisite: Myofascial Release Upper and Lower Body (Parts I and II) Certified or LMT, PT or occupational therapist or enrolled as a student in one of the programs mentioned.

There are three parts to the workshop; first, the introduction of 24 new strokes (many of which were invented by Howard Rontal). Second, there are comprehensive recipe approaches to working on low back pain and neck pain. The recipe approaches include the new strokes and a hands-on review of the relevant strokes from the first two courses. Third, this course includes basic strategies for evaluation and treatment, in other words going beyond recipe approaches to knowing how to translate what you see in the client's body and what they feel to an effective course of treatment. All students will receive a comprehensive 122 page training manual geared to this class and a DVD with all strokes taught.

A class manual is included that gives detailed steps for giving all the attunements. This class is a powerful healing experience and encourages you to become master of your own destiny.

Colon Hydrotherapy Theory & Experiential

Colon Hydrotherapy Theory consists of the study of colonic details, 25 hours of anatomy and physiology and required reading of Edgar Cayce's Guide to Colon Care by Sandra Duggan, RN, BS with an open book test on all three areas.

In the Colon Hydrotherapy Experiential class, the participant receives one colonic from another student, observes 15 and gives seven supervised colonics, has 11 theory classes, independent library study and a written exam on material learned during the week.

This course will focus on bodywork and taping techniques for athletes. Although the seminar will focus on sports-related conditions, analysis, and treatment, the techniques can be applied to most clients. Tape will be provided for use in the class and to keep for future use with payment of the instructor materials fee. Massage techniques will include pre- and post-event routines that will combine Swedish techniques, neuromuscular techniques, and therapeutic stretching. The class will include palpation, hands-on application, and a review of anatomy and some common sports-related pathology. Please come prepared with loose, comfortable clothing.
